The Annual Giving Campaign Is Here!

Many of the programs that make Carthay special—from garden and cooking classes to reading support, PE, STEAM enrichment, and community events—are not fully funded by LAUSD. Help us raise $90,000 by October 2nd to protect these experiences for every Carthay student!

Carthay Community Night

Carthay Community Night

Bring a blanket, pack a picnic dinner, and settle in for an easygoing evening with fellow Carthay families, featuring music, crafts, games, inflatable slides, and plenty for the kids to do.

Want to skip packing dinner? Food is available to pre-order through Sept. 23. We also need volunteers to help with things like event setup, running the craft tables, selling snacks, and inflatable slide chaos management.

Carthay x UCLA Community Garden Day

Carthay x UCLA Community Garden Day

Our first Community Garden Day is in conjunction with UCLA's Day of Service, so come join Bruin volunteers as we weed, prune, re-bed, replant, and refresh our Carthay garden! We’re also hoping to add new planter boxes out by the bungalows and install a new duck habitat for our little quackers.

Families are welcome and tools + light refreshments will be provided, so please RSVP to let us know you're coming!

Dine Out Carthay at Chipotle

Skip the cooking, grab some Chipotle, and raise money for Carthay while you’re at it!

Join us for our September Dine Out Carthay fundraiser at Chipotle on Wednesday, September 30, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at 1550 S La Cienega Blvd. Chipotle will donate 25% of event sales back to Carthay Elementary School PTA!

Come chat it up with fellow Carthay families after school drop-off for our bi-monthly Carthay Cafe!

Coffee, pastries, and juice boxes will be for sale for $1 each from our neighbor and school sponsor, Stella Coffee, and we take cash or cards.

PS - We’re always looking for volunteers to help set up, pass out the goods, and clean up!

Join us on the Big Yard for games, inflatables, a photo booth, Dia De Los Muertos activities, and lots of fun and food. Take a trip through the Haunted House in the auditorium if you dare!

It Takes a Village

At Carthay, we believe that dance, PE, and community gardening are just as important as learning the basics of math and reading. Unfortunately, many of these valuable enrichment activities are not funded by the district.

As Carthay’s community, it’s up to ALL of us to build a well-rounded school experience for our students — head here to donate and learn more about where your contributions go!
