Carthay PTA Annual Giving Campaign
At Carthay, learning reaches beyond the classroom—into the garden, through cooking and creative projects, and into the connections children build with one another while learning new skills.
LAUSD funding does not fully cover many of these experiences, so together our Carthay Community of friends and family help fill that gap.

What we make possible together
Our $90,000 campaign goal supports approximately two thirds of the PTA’s $133,000 planned investment during the school year.

We know that every family’s financial circumstances are different and encourage you to donate whatever feels comfortable.
Below are suggested amounts by annual family income, but know that every contribution is appreciated (even $5 counts toward class participation rewards!)

Give an amount that is meaningful and manageable for your family. Here are some recommendations based on total family annual income:
Less than $70,000 → $144 or $12/month
$70K - $100K → $420 or $35/month
$100K - $150K → $1,000 or $85/month
$150K - $200K → $2,000 or $165/month
More than $200,000 → $3,000 or $250/month

Include your students’ names and select every applicable teacher during the Zeffy donation process.

On the final Zeffy screen, uncheck “Display my name publicly on the campaign page.”

Yes! In the last week of the fall giving campaign we will have an option to Sponsor a Student with a $25 donation.

Yes, you can set up a recurring monthly or quarterly donation. If you would like to make a pledge for a future date, reach out to Carrie Lemmon at carthaygiving@gmail.com. All future recurring donations and pledges will count towards the 10/2 fundraising goal.

Use a sealed envelope marked “PTA Annual Giving.” Make checks payable to Carthay ESM PTA. Include your student’s name and teacher; deliver to the Parent Center or front office.
